Quite right C, Christmas Day for me out on the course is family time. Myself (10) and my good lady wife (3) versus her folks (a pro and a 15 handicap). Combining both family and golf mixed with fierce competition.

Yes the club will leave one left handed club and one right handed club on the tee. They usually choose a hole where a driver is required.
 
no, will be very hungover and will have lots of our daughters christmas presents to assemble/put batteries in/play with. Then got friends coming round for drinks and dinner in the evening.

Scramble on the saturday though, with lunch in the clubhouse afterwards, its a drawn comp, but the guys I play with every week are all playing, then we're having a christmas drink in the afternoon.
 
Start sheet is up and we're starting on the 10th. Makes a nice change from schlepping to the farthest end of the course which is what usually happens to us both with shotgun comps.
 
3 club comp (one must be a putter) though might not be able to risk it with the new Drink Drive limits. The Local constabulary are targeting next day (still over the limit) driver, even been a few road side check point.
 
Played golf all day today. Arrived at the course @9am. Walked off @ 3.15pm after practicing with a friend I've not seen for a while.
A good days golf, if a little cold in the end.
 
Wish we did this kind of fun comp stuff at our place. Medal, stableford repeat to boredom.....

Although not today as its evil here - just clear up for 9am in the morning please :)

I don't like the sound off that as we are getting it after you, the met office says rain, I have a 10am tee time that is now in doubt :(
 
Nowt on at my place at this time of year, but course like concrete and freezing fog outside no thanks, it was -3 when i went for a walk.
 
I played today with my son almost millionaires golf as very quite

Thought it was going to be very cold but not too bad

Strange on front 9 we had a build up of ice on our shoes like ski boots

Timing was perfect as we finished got in car and it started to pour down

Nice to walk off the excess of yesterday
