A couple of months ago, I had an email from Groupon doing a deal for Bourn Golf and Leisure for 2 x 18 hole golf with lunch for 2 people, usually £95 but on offer at £25.

Took the offer and took a today off to use it with a lad from work and what a bargain it was!

Tee'd off at 8am, before the ladies comp and a society and was striking the ball really well, putting was a bit off as greens were quick. Course was really nice with soem tricky pin positions. After the first round finished, bout 11.30am we had lunch - I chose a "light bite" beef with noodles which was a huge portion!!

Went out for the 2nd 18 at 12.15 and came off a better score, 5 shots better, still poor putting.

Overall the hospitality was very good, we were welcomed to the club by the gent in the pro shop, he sorted everything out for us even lunch and we were made to feel like members. A very enjoyable day!

It is worth signing up to Groupon to see if there are any golf offers in your area. Best thing was, he told us that people who have used the offer can purchase the same offer direct from the club to do it again.

I played the front nine last year when I was very new to the game and found it very testing. I would like to go back and play the whole 18 now that my golf has improved. I love the view from the tee on the 6th. Well worth the hike up the 5th.

I played here last week, my regular playing partner and I took a jaunt east to see what is was like. The greens were quick but sadly a little hard. There were a few tricky holes that definitely got you thinking.

We got the same deal as you, members were chatty and we were made to feel more than welcome.
