Hey guys i bought some callaway x 14 irons from http://www.golfbidder.co.uk/ and i noticed i cannot see the serial number on any of the irons. and now i checked their website and it says that they do not sell fakes and that eatch club is 100% inspected by a pga pro here is a link http://www.golfbidder.co.uk/golf-advice/220/avoiding-counterfeit-golf-clubs.html

Now im wondering if they are fake or not because i havent got a serial number.

They are a 100% legitimate website and very good and popular in europe.
What you guys think

Golfbidder are a horrible company that should be stopped from trading but I think it highly unlikely that they would sell you fake clubs, they look very carefully what they sell and work to combat fake clubs.

If you've brought them from Golfbidder I will guarantee you, 100%, they are not fake.

Their checking process when they receive a club is very stringent.

Surely that deserves/requires expansion!

99.999% certain the clubs will be genuine - or you'll be able to return them.

I had a falling out with them yesterday about a quote.... It got a little silly and they cut my account. I shall say no more as I was disgusted with the way I was treated as a customer. On a more general note they offer very low and sell very high.

Callaway irons only have a serial number on the 8 iron if they're off the shelf bought.
Anything throught the Custom fit - and that maybe only a change of the grip or a tweak to the loft - an it won't have a number.

Serial numbers are not the be all and end all of deciding if something's fake.
What's to stop a Forger going into AG and noting down a serial number and adding this to his forgeries...?

Golfbidder are as sure a bet as you can get that the club is genuine as far as the 2nd hand market goes....

And, Yes they buy low and sell high.
They have to make a profit and you don't have to sell to them.
They mostly buy from Pros trying to shift stock so the prices are very much based on Trade values....

Had not thought of that, they are robbers though!! but ye, you dont have to sell to them. They do insult with the offers sometimes though!

Have to agree - if you have something fairly new you're going to get peanuts for it.
Just say your JPX's cost 500 quid.
They're 2nd hand so now they're worth 350
So they offer you 175.....

But something older might be better value..

Say a set of MX25's
Cost was probably 450
Now they're worth 150
So they offer 75-100

Quick and easy but, even with the costs and the potential hassle, I'd sell on eBay every time.

Just stripped down a set of X18's defo fake, but very good, shafts fitted the same as Calls and visualy identical. Compared to a known genuine 5 iron the metal polishes up a different colour and when measured with a micrometer one or two of the dimentions are slightly off, without a known genuine head would be very dificult to tell.

I find that taking the clubs into their HQ gets a much better price and to be honest I've always found them fair about pricing. I know they will come in low but I usually get them up a bit and as I say in person you can usually get £50-60 more. Not perfect for everyone I accept but if you live within driving distance of New Malden it might be worth considering

How does your standard response with anything to do with golfbidder help the OP?

Its business, always going to get offers the owner feels is awful! Look at the motortrade, whenever ive sold a car or offered a p/x price the buyer moans about price. They forget we have to prep the car, make sure its all Spot on, Pay for a warranty, MOT and service and thats before the next buyer comes and chips us on the price.

They then moan we buy any car offered them a silly figure not knowing when they go and get it checked over they'll get upto 50% knocked off the offer only for the car to be going through auction the following week.

Same with clubs, it takes time to check, clean and guarantee each club ... and its business.
