Bought Camcorder today :)

Bought a new sony handycam today to help me progress in golf to video my swing etc and to help improve in the winter season for next year. I have seen myself on video before so i know what am expecting.

anyone else video there swing?

I have a video lesson every so often and have also dragged H.I.D down the range.
Its really shocking to see your swing for the first time and realise how different it is from the ones I see on the TV

If you haven't discovered it already you'll probably find a high speed mode which takes more than the standard 24/25 FPS of a normal recording speed. It might be hidden under a menu like 'Sport' or similar. It uses a fast shutter speed to get all of those frames in so use a tripod and some bright weather to avoid camera shake.

If you can do that you've got a fair chance of producing a film like the Minolta high speed Swing video when you play it back at a slow speed.

I've had a video lesson recently and it's astounding what it reveals.

Hi, Yep all my golf lessons have been on video (split screen). i recently reviewed my very first video and compared it with my latest swing and the change is amazing. I find it helpful cross watching my swing against someone on YouTube (search 'swing vision'). one key problem i struggled with for a long time was a steep swing plane, but with the help of my pro and the videos i have managed to improve it.
