bought an R1 wrench... should I tweak lol

Unless you've gone through major swing changes, leave well alone. You've had access to a tour fitting, if you can't trust that there's nothing down for the rest of us.

Two of my playing partners have the r1 and r11s and tinker all the time! Every week they've changed to another setting, does their driving improve? Not a jot, one week a fade, the next a hook and the next a slice. Seriously leave it as it was set up unless you've changed the swing drastically over the last few weeks the club is set up for you.

Read an article with the top fitting guy at Titleist. He said if he had his way Titleist wouldn't give a wrench to anyone other than fitters. Once its fitted properly it should be left alone. No need to tweek it up or down as it jump imparts more spin.

Therefore leave well alone.

OMG!!!! Not wanting to sound harsh but you need your head testing. TM didn't give you a wrench for a reason... Can whoever lives nearest to G1BBO give him a slap, hopefully that will knock some sense into him...

how many of you have bought off the shelf adjustable drivers and tweak the settings?

Never owned an adjustable driver. However the purpose was to enable fitters to easily and quickly find the perfect spec, not for amateurs to play around with. If I was lucky enough to get the full tour truck treatment the last thing I'd do is mess about with the settings. I think you're mad!!!!!

I've got TM 11 hybrid & I've not used the wrench at all,if I started messing with the settings I'd end up blaming the set up of the club for bad shots rather than my swing.

i have an R11s and have tinkered with it but i find the best results are when everything is set to neutral , when your wrench clicks thats it tightened up to the correct torque .

Gibbo, we were all given wrenches on the day. Personally I think its a fun driver- I get to try 8* fade through 12* draw bias and loads inbetween.

I do agree once set then leave the 3W and hybrid alone, but to be fair you/we didnt get more than several hits with the R1 compared to several hits against our own driver as a 'fitting', now this was down to time I'm sure as there was irons/3w/hybrid/R1 and shoes to 'fit' so if he hit on a setting and shaft combo that showed improvement over our own kit then he moved on- can't have been easy fitting 4 people for everything 1 after the other.

So would you say you were fitted properly for the driver Darth?
I only ask as my driver fitting with my pro took 1 1/2 hours.
