what is the conditions to book teetime as a member at your club,,, can you book teetimes days in advance on internet and choose any teetime you like during the day, have members priority to book before greenfee guests..

Is it difficult as a member to get a teetime for ex at weekends

Our club In Sweden can members book 2 teetimes two week before play and guests can only book seven days before play and majority of the bookings is thru internet.

I have just left my club because you have to book 8 days in advance, I think that is ridiculous at a private members club. My 'away' club only uses a booking system for competitions, all other play you just turn up and go which is the way I like it.

Why would anyone want to book 2 weeks in advance???

We can normally book tee times 7 days in advance.

We can book 2 tee times in one day if we want but they must be more than 4.5 hours apart.

Visitors bookings are handled by the office and are kept away from competitions and weekends. For a course that has so many visitors it works ok, and all those green fees keep our subs down.

We can book online (a week in advance) - they have a ballot for busy times

BTW - I love North Berwick IanG - played there with my brother in law who's a member between Christmas and New Year last year - gorgeous weather and a cracking course.

Ours is booking only at weekends but it's only saturday morning that can be an issue and that's mainly November to February. All other times are turn up and crack on.

Members at ours can book 2 weeks in advance, visitors 1 week. As a member you can just rock up and play if there are any spare slots but as it's a 26 mile round trip for me to the club I prefer to ring up and book a specific time to play. So if I decide I want to play tomorrow morning I will ring first thing and get a guaranteed tee time rather than run the risk of turning up in the hope I can play. It suits me this way.

Put your name on the comp sheet in the pro shop if you want a drawn time is as close to any form of booking we have. Turn up and go out. Wouldn't have it any other way and accessibility is a key factor in any decision making process about joining another or second club.

My old club was tee booking preferred, problem was they used all the slots up for green fees. Members had no special times, it was dire... I left (Richings Park), nice staff but when you pay a membership you should have access. My new club doesn't book tee times, green fees are expensive, societies are only a select few and there are good daily roll ups ... Tee bookings are for visitors and societies not or members in my opinion and I will not tolerate being a member of such a club that trots out this tripe.:sbox:

we can book 2 weeks in advance and have blocked times for members.

if you wanted to book 9am thye next morning you would struggle, but it works well at my club. medals are all drawn and for the odd comp there are roll up times for and hour for guys that don't have reg playing partners.

Only time we struggle is if the club have some event on and they are usually the weekend, had a t least 3 weekend s we could not play on a Saturday this year due to elite comps on.

Yes I've only been a member there for 10 months and it still feels like a privilege to play in such a lovely place when the sun comes out.

1 Tee Time a day up to 7 days in advance - can't book a Saturday until the weekly comp is finished, normally about 1:30 - 2:30, Friday mornings is Ladies Comp and is normally booked 9:00 -11:30ish. Sunday's is booking through the Pro Shop only.

For comps in our place the sheets go up in the clubhouse 2 weeks before, online booking is 7 days.

7 days is the norm for bounce games, and only 1 teetime per day, but you can just rock up to the course and go straight on if its quiet, which it usually is.

I played your place in March this year, I would describe it as the 'most fun course' I've ever played. Even if you have a mare I expect you would still come off the course with a smile on your face.

You are a very lucky man :)
