Booking golf in Spain

I'm going out to Spain, about an hour outside Alicante, to a place called Javea at the end of August. What's the best way to book a couple of rounds of golf, direct with club or through a golf company? Any advice gratefully received.

I have generally found that going to a 'golf shop' offers slightly better discounts although its always worth checking with the club first as they do tend to do offers this time of year. In short check out both options when you get there.
