Bonded soft shell Fleece's - just how waterproof are they?

Been on the look put for a decent waterproof but have stumbled across these.

Now i appreciate that they will be no match for Gore-tex or the like, but was curious if they would be ok as a substitute.

I play with a trolley mounted umbrella, so even in a heavy downpour i will not be totally exposed. Would one of these do the trick?

Fancy the extra warmth that they would offer.

I wear a soft shell for snowboarding and its very waterproof, just make sure you check the rating.

I appreciate that yours is for Snowboarding, but what are they like with regards to movement?

Are they in any way restrictive?
