Is anyone a member here? I'm sure somebody used to be but the name escapes me. Anyway just wanting to know people's thoughts on the course and facility's before I potentially become a member.
Thanks

Give old links try first, couple of low handicappers left there to join old links and rumours have it that more are on there way due to the condition of the greens

You more than welcome to come up for a knock or if you ring the club my mate takes potential new members out for a round free of charge

Really tempted on old link as it would take me 2 mins to get their have you been a member long? I've heard lots of good things about it

In my ninth year there when I joined I had to have a interview but they don't do that anymore made a lot of new friends, just got back of the annual Turkey trip

We play Bolton every year in a Senior's Comp. Great clubhouse, good greens when we play in September, helpful pro and good food.

Played old Links once and preferred Bolton but it is naturally your choice. Overall for me Bolton is preferable

Thanks for all the advice I'm leaning towards Bolton as its cheaper for me and the practice facilities seem excellent. Will naturally look more at both though

Birchy would tell you better but I believe the reason he moved away was lack of comps and lack of club feel. Not many folk on the course and few playing medals.

Fixed for you, big mon.:D

Thanks for the replys guys good to hear everyones views. Does anyone know if either Bolton golf club or old links has a sprinkler system for the greens? I know Hart Common has been watering theirs with a massive bowser every night but wondering if anyone else has done anything to try an soften the greens at the moment?
