Set it to record. A legend and one of the best players this country ever produced. I saw him as a young kid at Leeds a few times but being as I was so young I have no recollection of what he was like apart from old tv clips.
Well worth a watch. Watched it this morning and when talking about the Munich air crash he was still visibly upset when remembering those that perished in the disaster.
Was a bit surreal watching it, when he was talking about the Munich disaster he mentioned about all of Manchester being affected, same as what me dad said when he talks about it. When he was a kid he went to City one week and Utd the next. Said most of Manchester did. Reckons it was only around the World Cup that the people of Manchester started supporting red or blue. Also reckons the team of pre Munich was better than the law, best, Charlton era. Made be chuckle when Charlton was asked to man mark beckenbaur during the World Cup final. As soon as the Germans kicks off Becekenbaur ran over to Charlton and marked him for the game such was the Germans rear of him.
was a fantastic programme.
I was chatting to my dad yesterday and he said Bobby never missed a game through injury. In fact played when he was injured, such was his desire to play football. He realised that he was very fortunate.
