I just thought i'd share with you all my delight of finshing work today as i'm flying up to inverness tomorrow for a weekend, no kids no wife plenty of golf and beer i'm so excited.

For those guys up that neck of the woods whats the weather like????

Spey seems to have its own eco system, surrounded by white mountains full of snow, and rather wet miserable weather in the valley that is aviemore, still, Id love to play the place in the dry.

Weathers ok, about 13c and dry, weekend forecast is cool cos of northerly winds, sorry.

Aviemore has a decent climate, can get very hot in summer as its a long way from the coast so gets as much of a continental climate as you can get in Scotland rather than the maritime climate so much of the UK gets.

It does not get the west UK wet conditions despite the conditions experienced by some forummers recently. Golf in April in Strathespey is just too early in a normal year, this year even more so due to the extended winter.

Greens round here are improving quickly with new grass growth, still a way to go however.

we go up there most summers, play the speyside and the boat, beautiful courses, absolutely luv them!

bigbiffa,

why do you have two pictures of you playing golf? it makes every one of your posts about 3 times longer than they need to be and it'll be hard work on anyone using a slow connection.

and...

was it the same person that took the two shots? the horizon is equally squint in both of them.
