BMW PGA TV coverage

Looking through the TV guide and I see that the BBC are doing a highlights program at 6pm Saturday and Sunday

Whereas in previous years they have at least carried the final day live.
Disappointed at another fixture being lost to cost cutting

Come on BBC sort it out

they've just not got the desire to out bid sky, the only reason the crown jewel sports events are broadcast by the beeb are in the statute book otherwise there would be even less sport on terrestrial TV.

usually enjoy the BEEB coverage of the BMW- I'm away at southport this weekend so would have missed it anyway- how long are the highlights? worth recording or is it like the old ITV days with 25 minutes of highlights that included adverts and watching players walk the length of a fairway

I was just about to start a thread about this - but then saw this.

It's a joke - BBC are absolute garbage now. I am not the greatest fan of watching the golf on Sky as I hate adverts, but reckon that's the way all of these events are going to go now.

Does anyone know if Sky are showing the Pro-AM from Wentwoth too - always good fun those tournaments.

The problem with highlight shows is you get 30min of putting....

And the odd chip in.. That's it..

Its great watching on Sky...If you can just pause the channel for a while before it starts then FF thought the ad breaks.. And don't follow on twitter at the same time s you will then get spoilers.. Especially on last rounds

They can afford it. They just don't see sport, especially live sport as a priority anymore which is why apart from the "crown jewels" they are losing all their coverage. I wouldn't be surprised if WImbledon was the next to go to another channel

I much rather sport on the BBC, Andrew Cotter, Wayne Grady and Ken Brown, I even like Alliss.

The only thing on Sky's regular coverage is Wayne Riley.
