I have a feeling Donald will go to number 1 this week. He's playing like a man possessed and has to be one of the best (if not THE best) short game players in the world right now.

Plus he'll be right annoyed at himself for playing like a knob in the final of the Matchplay last week.

Indeed, how he keeps doing it round after round is phenominal. You see so many players these days have one good week or round and then dissappear for weeks on end it's great to see Luke doing it so consistently.

I hope he gets to number 1 this week as there isn't a player on the planet who deserves it more than he does over the last 18 months

I totally agree with you, but I wonder if Luke will get the same "he doesn't deserve it because he's not won a major" moanings from the naysayers that Westy had? After all Luke is just doing what Lee did over the last two years. Consistent, top 10 finishes.

The only difference is that I think Luke (at this point in time) is looking more likely to win a Major (wouldn't surprise me to see him win one this year and I hope he does!). Nothing seems to phase him and when he doesn't win, it's because of one bit of bad luck or one bad shot, or the guy in front of him playing inspired golf. I can't remember the last time he had a meltdown.

Plus he has the finest golf swing in all of golf.
