Yours truly picking up the award from my Archery Club, For the Most Improved handicap over the last year.

Shot a PB of 570 / 600 on a Portsmouth Shoot, which is 60 arrows in groups of 3 at 20 yards, My "Bullseye" is the just visible inner circle which is about the size of a 2p piece.
Shoot a Compound Bow set at 46lb draw weight.
Just about to start the Outdoor Season, shooting up to 100 yards :)

End of self indulgent bit, just wish I was as good at Golf

Well done Phil. If there's ever another battle of Agincourt those skills will be highly sought after!

Watch out guys.

Leftie is starting on an archery course wef next Tuesday.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Phil. Is it possible to shank an arrow? :D

Oh yes, if the arrow falls off the arrow rest, just as you are about to release,
At this point the arrow is pointing off target .
After release, the shaft of the arrow is forced against the upright of the bow and the arrow shears off at about 30 degrees from centre.

Fortunately they don't go sideways or backwards, and as nobody will be in front of the shooting line, it's very safe.

Enjoy the course Lefty :)

Well done!!

Interesting that Leslie King taught that the golf backswing ought to be slow and precise 'like an archer/marksman taking aim'

No excuses Phil!

I like the sound of this!

Ha, Nothing to do with South Coast Rivalry :)

The types of shoot are named after English Cities

A "York" is 6 Dozen at 100 yards plus 4 dozen at 80 yards plus 2 dozen at 60 yards
A "Hereford" is 6 dozen at 80 yards, plus 4 dozen at 60 plus 2 dozen at 50
A Warwick is 2 dozen at 60 plus 2 dozen at 50

Etc Etc not to mention Bristol, Windsor, Albion ad infinitum
Then there are all the metric shoots :)
