Just feel I need to share.
Out at 5.40am this morning, and what a beautiful morning. Not a breath of wind. Only my fourth trip around my new club so scoring well wasn't on my mind really. Just a lovely quiet stroll only interupted now and again by the need to give that little white ball another clout. Anyway, my count up at the end verified that I had only clouted it 77 times for an 11 over par round (par 66). That's 26 points off scratch (Haven't got three cards in yet for my handicap), with a blobbed 7 on the card. Now my previous three outings have been mid to high eighties, so I'm cock a hoop with this score.
Maybe golf is played mostly between the ears after all!
Time will tell when I actually get a card that matters in my hand, and start thinking about swings,feet,grip,head,wrists,shoulders...
