Has anybody played this Bloodsomes?

My club are doing a Bloodsome pairs next month and I for one never heard of this format before now.

I just googled it so I know more than I did 5 minutes ago.

Strange name, strange game.

I've just looked it up.

Texas scramble but choose the worst shot each time.
Not much fun unless you have a team of cat1's I'd imagine.

Best variation on Texas Scramble is the Las Vegas Scramble which we play at least once a year with our Seniors. The 4 players are allocated numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4. All tee off, then a large die (singular of dice for the uneducated) is thrown. If it's 1, 2, 3, or 4 then that player's tee shot is the ball in play. If it's 5 or 6, then any tee shot can be selected. Great fun.

Now that does sound like fun , I like it. We do play a game called gruesomes which is a variation on foursomes in that your oppos choose which of the two drives you have to take rather than you yourselves choosing.
