Evening,

Not sure if this is O/T, but it is golf related....and to start off im not selling anything.

What I am doing is blogging....about my golf progress, along with my new found love of running...or should I say keeping feet.

I'll be updating with my progress, news of season etc etc not just golf but running.

It is to be taken light hearted ( i know thats hard sometimes on here!) but your comments are appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

i think the thing with blogs is what content you are looking to fill it with

If its general golf chat with a few stories , jokes , info , equip reviews - a bit like a mini forum as such - make it more about golf as opposed to just yourself then thats the best way to go about it - or maybe a coaching/lessons journey or fitness regime - make it light hearted.

To describe each round you play into finite detail including a hole by hole detail will just bore people to death

Good luck and will have a read every now and then

Keep it up..I both run and play golf..Done marathons, but now keep distance low key (between 6-8 miles), 5 times a week...Get some good trainers, Nike Air Pegasus fan myself..Depends on running style though, but very important..Also, when you increase your distances, you may suffer from nipple burn, blisters etc...Vaseline is the key.Great stuff it is, runners friend....However, keep us posted with how the golf is going. If you want any advice, give Rumpo a shout...Well done thus far.

Cheers... I already found a connection between the two! Always get fitted..... Even for running shoes....brought just a pair of karimors not understanding there's different types of running shoes to suit your feet! amateur error no 1!

Won't give too much away as it is part of my next blog.

Liverpoolphil, I can assure you I won't be describing round for round detail. It's just for quick updates on handicaps, pars/ birdie made. Most of all what I've learnt from it.

Did you see that report this week that says too much running is as bad for you as doing none. I think they suggested 3 x 30 minute runs a week was about right.

Didn't see that Socket, but it is a hard habit to shake when you get to reasonable level.Bit like golf and practice i suppose.
Will have to look this one up..However, one minute a glass of wine and a cup of coffee are good for you, next minute they say it is going to give you this or that and be the death of you.
A good run does give you a buzz when done, especially on mornings like today.Cheers for heads up on the subject.
