How do you decide whether to use a blade or mallet putter? :mmm:
I can putt rubbish with both of them!

So I'm sorted until that confidence wanes...![]()
Sounds like that will be quite soon!
I had a blade and lost confidence in it which really affected my putting. I now use a mallet (Rossie) but didn't choose it as the opposite to the blade, I went and tried loads of different kinds and chose the one that felt best, gave best results and therefore greatest confidence.

Yes I have a Rossie as well...seems likr this is my go to putter. I flirt occasionally with a Scotty Newport and #1 Black series Oddy blades which I do like.
Its just I would like to know what my putter action would suit best. So should I stick to the one or flit around to what I fancy the most that day?!
I think it's down to getting a consistent stroke, then the putter suits (which was my big problem). As I say, I went and tried loads, was there for ages to try and get consistency in my stroke and then found the Rossie to be the best fit for me. And it seems to be working so far, as long as I don't change my putting stroke (which I am working hard at).
I think my putting stroke changes with every putt! :mmm:![]()
Ah... that could be problematic... I've heard that the V-Easy is revolutionary in that space.![]()
I like a blade myself. I think it easier to putt from off the green with a milled face putter as well, esp on a links course.
I prefer the in to in stroke that works well with a blade i believe!
And there was me rushing to read your thread in the forlorn hope that you would say something like...'you are a great putter'!![]()
