Hi guys and girls,
reading the posts on Blackmoor a lot of players are really exited about the occasion.
People are looking forward to there first meet, meeting old aquatances, looking forward to playing the course for the first time, and generally looking forward to a good day all round.
Some are making it a 2 or even a 3 day event.
But what are your aspirations, are you looking to win the day, shoot to your handicap, not disgrace yourself, beat a certain forummer etc.
Over to you. :)

Not top it off the first tee. It is getting to be a habit.

Other than that, not really fussed. Playing like a spanner at the moment, despite shooting my handicap last night.

To putt better than I did at Beau (wouldn't be hard ).

That's about it. As long as I hit some decent shots and poke it round in a reasonable fashion and hole a few putts, I'll be happy. Playing to my handicap would be great but I'm not expecting too as it looks like a pretty tough challenge and playing under my handicap would be a massive bonus.

Dry weather would be a bonus too, but I can't control that.

For me, it's more about the company. Looking forward to meeting up with some of the folk I met at Beau and also meeting everyone I've not yet met, except that knob who's organised the day :D

Also really looking forward to Camberley on the Sunday.

Oh and not to top it off the 1st tee, since it looks to be me that's leading the way for the day :(

Sell lots of V- ...I mean stay warm and dry and enjoy the courses and the company.
If I can get the ball airborn.....bonus :)

Ah, I understand now why you can fit me in the car. Too much "camping stuff" eh? Yea, if you're pitching V shaped tents! :D

Which is exactly what i did at my first forum meeting earlier in the year at Redlibberts. Really just meet more forum people and generally enjoy the day. I had a great day at Redlibberts and played with some lovely people and I believe we all enjoyed ourselves.

As for the golf, well I'm not good enough to take it to seriously, so if i can knock up 25 points for my team in the morning, and 44 in the afternoon i will be fairly pleased ;) ;) ;)

I wouldn't want to upset anyone :D :D :D

Am knocking it around pretty well at the moment so will be going all out to win and take as many prizes as possible - anything less then it wouldn't be worth turning up!! :D

Same as always with this silly game, just to have some fun and play some decent golf.

Looking forward to meeting other forummers, sharing a joke and testing my game on a cracking track.

Big thanks by the way to Richart and Smiffy and all the others backstage who have contributed to setting it up.

Kind words received with thanks, as for you Aztecs you have been told about calling Smiffy a knob before. :(

I just hope you all turn up, the weather is kind to us, and everyone has a great day. Having seen the prizes i am not too worried about winning anything. :D

That is a joke Mike.

1st target is getting there........

After that we'll see. The way I played today a good target will be finishing with the same number of clubs as I set out with......

I'm doing the 3 day trip and just want to enjoy the challenge of playing 3 new courses that are reputed to be excellent tracks. I want to knock it round in reasonable fashion but arent bothered about winning anything , to me thats not the point of these trips.

I want to make some new friends and say hi to some already made from previous meets.

I want to stay dry, eat and sleep well and go home thinking the trip was worthwhile and money well spent.

Had a laugh last night when i told the good lady indoors who i was playing with, and she said.....

Leftie & Sawtooth! one of them must be the mafia, the other prehistoric!!
:D :D :D

Losttheplot? I think she felt sorry for you.

So she probably thinks that I am playing golf with a load of old kack handed hit men who suffer from Alzheimer’s :D :D :D

Bless her. :D :D
