I have been a looking into accommodation for the Blackmoor Meet on the 27 June. The club currently have a link with two hotels, and if you go onto the club website, and then go to 'play and stay' you can get full details. Both hotels are just a few miles from the course.

You will note that they include golf with the cost of the accommodation. I have spoken to the Club and explained that the golf has already been paid for, and they are happy to approach the hotels to try and obtain a group rate for room and food. I would imagine the bigger the group the better the deal.

If you are interested let me know, and i will go back to the Club once i have an idea of numbers. I would have thought that Sunday, Monday nights would be relatively quiet, so rates might be good.

Great deal JD. Sounds like you will be playing on the Sunday, and Tuesday ?

Hadn't planned on playing Sunday as I was intending to take a leisurely drive down that afternoon. Tuesday i'd defo like to meet up somewhere for a knock before hopefully getting past the Dartford tunnel before rush hour

If I'm not working on the Sunday I would be up for a game but won't know for another few weeks yet.

Possible courses include Bearwood Lakes, Camberley, and Hankley Common. We know members at all the courses so should be able to get some reasonable guest rates. All courses are well worth playing, and will get further details once we know numbers looking to play, and on which days.

Planning on traveling down Sunday for two nights, can always arrive in time for an afternoon knock. Tuesday driving home via chipping norton to try out another course

Put me down as a definite for any of those

which is better for location?

Liphook or Alton

both selling rooms for £19 per night, so within budget, just worried abut getting to the pub in the evening.

Liphook is about 7 miles from club. The Travelodge in Alton is actually nearer Four Marks and is 12 miles away.

Go for Liphook, JammyDodger is booked in there.

Anybody wanting cheap accommodation for Blackmoor Meet, needs to try and book into Travelodge at Liphook. £19 a night deal now on.

Liphook is just 7 miles from the course, and it takes less than 15 minutes.

rich, I am local and am on leave during the Blackmoor period, so I am definitely up for playing on at least one other day than the main Blackmoor event.

Let me know details and I'm in.
