Black R1 in the works

Already appeared on the R&A conforming driver list .... And yes I know those pics are usually black and white, but the white versions are shown and are very different.

Yep, if it did happen to be black I would give one a bash but not in white.

I don't they will remove the stripes, but maybe they will look more quiet .... having seen a few white ones in the last month, the stripes aren't anywhere near as bad as I thought.

If you check out golfwrx there is a guy that got a R1 refinished, will try and get a link.

what happened to the white head being easier to align? or was that just a gimmick and colour now not relevant to alignment? Personally think it would look ok without the white writing, with it it looks hideous to me, eyes would be drawn towards that not the middle of the club/ball

Apologies in advance for daring to defend the white R1 but I much prefer it to the black version.

The 'go faster' stripes genuinely help my alignment and give me more confidence to hit the ball from the inside. If you're going to do a classy black version (a la PING Anser / i20), at least take the graphic off the top of the head.

Fully prepared to get mullered for this but think the white R1 is much better looking - in the same way the Burner 2.0 Superfast was better looking than the previous black version.

There's nothing wrong with the white one that a can of satin black paint won't cure!
