Says it all. Vicious little swine bit my finger. Bled like a stuck pig. Two cats, useless. Totally useless. Left me to do all the work, while they sat there supervising. I caught the murderous rodent, and bunged it out into the front garden. After it bit my finger. Ungrateful git. off to get a tetanus jab tomorrow then.

Cats? Why?

You must know by now that cats are 100% self-centred. The received wisdom is that cats won't eat voles so why bother expending energy in catching them - let the humans do that if they want rid.

The two cats we had dumped on us are weird. The male is possibly the laziest thing I have ever encountered. He barely moves. Digs into tbe sawdust and covers himself to sleep and/or hide incase he gets moved  The female however is a great cat, keeps the hayshed clear of anything rodent wise. Only thing is she seems to be trimming the birds a bit as well :(

We have 3 cats and their often bringing mice and voles etc in. The best way to catch them is to put a wellington boot down near them, they think its a hole and run straight in. That's a top tip from the Twire household.

Sorry to hear about your cat Chris, not a nice thing to see.

My MIL story was actually true.
She was trying to rescue the mole from her dog and the mole bit her...........and survived.

My cat has an awful habit of bringing live critters into the living room and letting them go. Then it derives hours of pleasure from watching me run around like a headless chicken trying to catch the darn thing. I'm totally convinced that my moggy is motivated by a malicious streak.

Most are ;)

Our last cat brought in a mole. It just kept following the skirting board round the lounge. I made sure I got rid of it (alive) well away from our garden. ;)

Currently got a badger digging up my lawn. Just hope the new cat doesn't try and bring it in.

Sorry to hear about your cat Chris.

Get in a little concerned... no activity from Murph since this afternoon...
Anyone know the incubation time of Rabies.......?:mmm:

I'm still alive. It's just my golf that's dead, but then that's normal! Still got a sore finger though, and a stiff shoulder from the jab, a rubbish lower back, itchy legs from moggy flea bites, etc. cats? Why?

I love them lots though. I just have no idea why?
