Birmingham City's owners go into receivership

they've had some dodgy owners over the last few years.

troubling times.

As a season ticket holder I can't say I am unduly worried.

Might even be a positive since the Receivers are duty bound to act in the best interests of the Company as a whole not just some directors or shareholders.

This could include accepting a bid for the Club which is, after all, only a subsidiary of BIHL.

If they go bust and get thrown out of the league, will the 6-1 be deleted from the records ?:)

You have just got to let it go Rich!

Mind you Bournemouth's goal difference would take a bashing.

As a Rangers fan, I would suggest you shouldn't believe that part....

Very strange goings on

Seems Yeung was trying to gain more control and control the club from prison by putting new board members in place ?

The others owners have decided to allow a receivership company run the "Holding Company" that own Birmingham.

Normally when a club goes into Admin they get a ten point deduction immediatly - but if its a Holding Company the league have leeway to decide if a point deduction will happen - Birmingham feel there wont be one as its not through financial reasons the Holding Company has been handed over to Ernest and Young

Points deduction is intended to discourage clubs from "living beyond their means" and incurring debt.

As the Club and, for that matter, the Holding Company are not insolvent and the bills are being paid this would seem to not invoke a points deduction.

The Receivers have been appointed to act as "neutral" Directors and Management as, between them, the two current factions were so involved in their own disputes there would have been a danger of the "day to day" management of the Holding Company (BIHL) becoming impossible.
