Try parkonmydrive.com I use them for holiday parking near airports. You can usually find someone who'll not only let you park on their property for the duration but will also take you to and from the airport for a fee less than taxi fares.

Google something like 'airport hotel and parking' or similar and you will find plenty of deals to stay overnight in a hotel and includes parking often for less than the price of parking alone. Depending on your flight times it can save a lot of stress on the day you fly out.

If i am travelling for more than a week away, i often do this and don't even sleep in the hotel! Heathrow is good for this.

I usually use 'airparks' on mackadown lane. Leave the car there and a bus takes you to the airport, and brings you back on your return. Used them a few times, never had a problem. I guess the only bummer is having to wait for the bus but they're pretty regular.

Park at the long stay, we pre-book car park 4. It is walkable from the terminals and I've parked there many times with no issues.

If the worst was to happen and the driver had an accident, lets say you were seriously hurt and couldn't work again, if it was found out that the driver had accepted payment he wouldn't be insured, and consequently you wouldn't get a penny in compensation. Obviously the chances of this happening are so small its ridiculous, but then ano one thought the Titanic was sinkable...
