1) General Poor Etiquette

Nobody likes people with poor etiquette in any part of life.

2) Thou shalt not play through merchants

AKA time wasters. It is golf though, there is no rush.

3) Stuffy club rules, jacket & Tie etc...

I think this takes away some of the enjoyment of being a club member. Fair play though if someone wants this in a club, personally it is not for me. Smart dress, politeness and cheerful attitude to everyone is all that should be required.

1. Sloooow play
2. Not raking bunkers (or...how many times have you seen the bunker raked but the idiot has left his divot mark unraked ?)
3. Poor etiquette all round

not enough votes,

1, 2, 3, 4, 7,8,9

so General Etiquette has to cover 7, 8 & 9
and qualify 1 as 'unnecessarily slow play', course gets busy so at times you just have to live with it.

you missed out Course hogs (the speed at all costs merchants), block bookings, and regular medal/competition groups

"All the gear, no idea merchants"

That would be me then! Wouldn't translate roughly as beginners (or high handicappers) who have made a commitment to the sport by investing in the gear.

I realise they are all bad Visc, hence the poll ;), but who is baddest of the bad?

Have to say I've never come across a course hog.

Cheats of course should have been in there, glaring ommission. :o

I no particular order, I get annoyed at :

Repairing other people's pitchmarks
Repairing other peoples divots
Raking bunkers I haven't even been in,
And the sloooow plaaaayyy brigade, that refuse to let you play through.

P.S. What's a sandbagger, is it like a tea bagger

The International Criminal Court are currently investigating John Daly's trousers for crimes against taste.

Someone who deliberately plays poorly to stop getting cut or to go up in order to pot hunt later.

Reverse Sandbagger, someone who doesn't report bad away scores to avoid going up. Very low guys obviously that will play in a lot of balloted regional events.

Slow play - the bane of any course and guaranteed to only occur when you are playing well and in a good rhythmn.

Shorts - Just wrong - sorry guys but I have yet to see a golfer that can carry them off well

Not repairing pitchmarks - Come on guys its your course (most of the time) so have a little pride in it. Many will moan when putts bobble but if its full of old pitchmarks what do you expect

On your list I could only choose bad etiquette as the worst of the worst as everything else usually involves such people.

My worst of the worst has to be the deliberate cheat! Some people through ignorance can find themselves cheating but they can be forgiven and corrected, a deliberate cheat cannot!
