Would like to say a big thank you to Rick (username Doh) Just getting into golf and it's nice to see there are some great guys around.

I posted a message last week asking for advice about buying my first set of clubs and received some great advice on what to look for. Rick then offered to give me a set of his irons to get me going and wouldn't take a penny for them. Took them to the driving range today and they feel very nice. Looking forward to joining a club now

Agree entirely. A superb thing to do, more so as you're a new poster. It'd be great if you stick around and let the forum and in particularly 'Doh', know how your game gets on.

There's often a few things passed on as freebies on here, I received some Junior clubs off two forum members completely FOC last autumn and was chuffed to bits so a quality, full set of irons is just ace.

Nah, the ones I got given were for ages 3-5. Birchy tried em but in the end didn't use them, as they were too long for him.
