so Big Sam has said he wants to leave the palace .seems an odd decision as i cant think where is open for him to go to.
always been a decent manager in my eyes and never been relegated from the prem ,[yet] so any ideas where he could be heading.

Does he have to go anywhere?

He's 63.

The Palace job has shown he can still do the business. In the present day & age, you're only as good as your last job, leaving on a high will take the edge off all the England nonsense.

I'd be tempted to retire.

I'd definitely retire.
Live the rest of my days in a nice warm country.

Just confirmed and in his statement he says he is retiring to enjoy life, not looking for another club.

Waiting for the England post to come up again, he will be ready to step into Southgates shoes would be my guess.
Seriously?! After what happened last time - he won't be touched. Nor will any top club go near him.

God help us if that ever happens, surely the FA would not be so stupid to consider him again after the last debacle.
Personally I would be glad to see the back of him for the disrepute he caused.

You never know in football, maybe in 5 or 10 years when the dust has settled. I know Hoddle hasnt had a second chance yet but that might happen one day too.

Let's face it if they want to keep choosing English managers there's not a glut of good ones about is there?

I can't see him doing the garden and wandering around quaint villages with Mrs A and so give it a few months and he'll get the bug again although clearly our man in the know has wind of a done deal in China for him to go to.
