So after a year of disappointments at Muckhart, and the course being the worst it has been in the 6 years I have been there, I made the move back in to Fife and have set up home at Pitreavie Golf Club. Nice parkland course that should hopefully present a new challenge.
No way I could have spent another year moaning about the state of the greens and every word just being ignored.

Upward and onward as they say.

Looks very nice, I do like a Mackenzie course. Fantastic fees as well. The Surrey boys on here will be spitting feathers if they click through to that page.

Never knew this, haven't played muckhart for a while but it used to be in top notch condition all the time.

Got an even better 18 month deal from them. Happy all round.

Simao, Muckhart has gone downhill rapidly, dire trouble financially and it's being run in a manner that makes no sense.

Probably the right move Greig, when we played one of the 9's was not in great condition, shame as the back 9 was very nice and all my lot enjoyed that.

look on the bright side, i will be heading south in the spring for a game ;)

The 9 up the hill has been dire, tined the greens and the holes were like 50p pieces. Took months to recover and then were constantly sandy.
Right time to go.

Is that a positive? Sure they might need to vet you, you being teuchter and all that.

Just had a look and very nice re cost of joining. Two words Flippin Eck. That's nice and cheap.

Good choice. Used to play there on an office outing every year and it was a course that always seemed to be in good condition. Hope all goes well for you.

As you know, Greig, I'm a Fifer with very fond memories of Pitreavie - it's only a matter of a few miles from where I was brought up and I was at Pitreavie Castle for a year during my RAF service. You will, of course, still be attending the Old Farts/Whippersnappers.
