Big Jack also had runner up spots.

I'm not aware of him blowing a 5 shot lead on a Sunday afternoon though but happy to be corrected?

Time will tell, but it'll be interesting to see how Spieth reacts over the coming months.

Lets not forget, he's played at Augusta 3 times now and there's only 2 men to have ever beaten him there. Not a bad record.

There's second places and there's second places; Turnberry 1977, only managing a 65, 66 finish against Watson's 65, 65 and being 11 shots clear of 3rd place bears absolutely bog all comparison with yesterday's events, and I'd imagine that more were of that nature than there were that involved dropping 6 shots in 3 holes.

Yeah fair point. Jordan and Rory are relatively young in golfing terms. My point is the amount of runner ups that Jack had never put him off and even went through periods of slump and still came back strong.

I think he could affect him for longer than we think - he was distraught after the 12th and adrenaline got him through but looking at him on the 18yh fairway and in the cabin he just wanted the world to swallow him up

Not as bad as the McIlroy back catalogue of Masters issues over the last few years. Think this course is getting deep inside his head now and he may struggle to win here
