Just a quick note to those of you selling gear on the forum(not sure if this should be in the for sale/wanted section),Anyway sold my Titleist 909 d2 to a forummer we agreed that he would pay in 2 instalments,however after paying the first one,no sign of further payment,pm him to find out whats going on and he comes back with his pro told him the club is a fake and has an issue with paying,well i e mailed the said pro and he informed me that he did look at the club and told the guy that the club is genuine,I feel annoyed that someone on here is trying it on after sending the club in good faith,thanks to THECRAW for his advice on this matter by the way...

its a shame, because as a rule ive always found forum members to be a trustworthy source. this has worked in forums ive joined for all sorts of hobbies.

technically this is theft, can it not be reported to the police?

I would as discussed still report it to the Police, even (if as I suspect) they tell you that its a cival matter I would pursue him through the small claims courts (if there is such a thing in England!)I can't see you losing and I suspect that you will get your money before it even goes that far.

I also see no issues or reason why you cant name the person, its very similar to Harry but swap the first letter with a "L".

I don't understand why people don't name and shame in these situations. It seems a bit odd to warn us to be careful of who we deal with and then not tell us who it is that's ripping you off. How are we supposed to avoid these people if we don't know who they are?

From what I can see I think that the moral of the story is don't punt any of your gear to any forum members called Larry or you run the risk of not getting paid.

I see Larry even has the balls to have it listed in "His Bag". As you posted it to him, you must know where he stays. Perhaps the "Boys" should pay him a visit. After that he won't be able to use any club!
