Why is it that so few places have them. The big guys around here don't. My local AG has one, but no Black Carbon series.

Is it that they don't sell and therefore shops don't / won't stock them?

I wouldn't buy one unless I could try it first.

Does anyone have one, or the standard milled face versions?

I have one (BC3) and it is the mutts nuts. Better than any Scotty I have tried largely due to the feel off the face which is superb- soft yet crisp. I bought it off Tony N having not tried it so was a little concerned I wouldn't like it but having had it for a while now I absolutely love it- even if it has only putted on full greens for a grand total of two rounds! You are right to want to try one, they are superb- the black carbon series more so in my opinion having subsequently tried the standard ones.

Probably.

I was in Nevada Bobs in Aberdeen last week and they had two BCs ondisply at vastly reduced prices and still couldn't shift them. I almost bought another as a backup cause they were so much of a bargain.

I think they are rather expensive for normal tastes as most people will find somthin that suits for much less.

That said I do think they are very very well made and feel absolutely great.

You are absolutley right to get to try one, one of the chaps i often play with has a black carbon one, im not sure of the model but it's a blade style. He swears by it and i swear by my scotty but when i've tried his i found it gave less 'feel' than my scotty, it felt more like an insert putter and not like a solid, milled putter.

With regards to where stocks them, no idea, E-bay's your best bet for choice, but then you cant try them unless it's close by, its catch 22!
