With Neil posting about the new Vokeys and plenty of recent chat on wedges I want to know which wedges are the best. Not so much lofts but Vokeys or MPT's or Cally X's etc etc.

I've got 3 Mizuno wedges 1 x MPT Chrome, 1 x MPT Black Nickel and 1 x MPR Black Nickel.

Maybe looking to change but I can't decide on replacements.

What do you lot reckon??

I've personally got a set of the Callaway with the mack grooves in 52 and 56. I love them as they sit perfectly and are so versatile. They have a decent weighty feeling to them which gives me confidence even on the shortest of chips to slide the club through and get the ball up.

They all the same really, all great clubs just what each person prefers.
In my opinion i like the look down on the callys quite a dusty look, only got my vokeys when i got my irons it was easier to get the same shaft

I have the Callaway X's in 52 & 58 & love them, I feel very confident with these clubs in my hands. My son has the Vokeys in 52 & 58 which are also very good, I've also used them and can see why people rave about them.

I don't think you can go wrong with either.

I could do just that already Jon, but am trying to avoid it. I am still resisting the Titleist umbrella too.

At least my towel is different (I won't rub it in by saying what name is on it), but suffice it to say, we aren't bottom of the table. Ooops, sorry, couldn't resist.

I have a 52*, 56* and 60* wedges (all Snake Eyes). I use the 60 more around the greens and greenside bunkers as this club is best suited to splash shots on tight pins with greens that slope away from you. The 56 is more used for the 40yd bunker shots plus when the yardage is to much for a lob wedge but to much for a gap wedge. My 52* is my favorite club at the moment, its a beast with the spin that I can get off it. :)

I would go for Titleist Spin milled vokeys. I had Taylormade before then and i never liked the look of vokeys but after a go with a mates it was love! You get so much control with them and are great for feel shots plus they not the most expensive wedges so i'd advise you go with those!

Well, I reckon I've found them!!

Has anyone tried the Ping Tour W Wedges.

Went to a range near here yesterday and had an hour stroking smooth lob wedge after sandwedge after gap wedge down the range.

I've never felt such control from a wedge before. This range has good target areas and I actually hit 10 sw shots to within 3 yards of each other in a row.

Expect a change to the bag very soon!!
