Mrs sev112 has bought us a new little car

So i need to create some space outside the house and move on my reliable 1997 177,000 Peugeot 306

best ideas on how to pass it on for at least a little bit of cash ?

Sarcastic and witty replies will at least cheer up teh evening, so bring them on :)

As it isn't going to be worth much I'd say a free ad in the local rag rather than spend cash on something like Autotrader.

This is beautifully lined up for a bit of Smiffy sales patter.......

"Now, what we have here is a lovely little runner. Full service mystery......."

I'd say ebay/AutoTrader.

Forget the cash and donate it to your local driving range as a target :D

We all love aiming at cars when at the range ;)

Ever tried comedy writing.
You used the words "Peugeot" and "reliable" in the same sentence...

Made me laugh. :D

I must be lucky then - bought it for £400 well over 4 years ago now from amate who was emigrating ; it's passed MOT every year, i have never put any oil in it and i dont think it's even needed new tyres

Never needed the RAC for it at all either

That to me is prerry much a good definition or reliable in my book

Most Peugeots are as reliable as my Driver but the 306 was the exception I think.
Still don't think you'll get much for it but you don't want to have to pay to shift it.

Hang on.......this is exactly what Smiffy does with his golf gear that he's selling.......lovely bit of groundwork!!! :p

If you drove it to a scrap yard you could expect to be paid £120, so if you arent bothered about getting too much more for it then this is a quick and easy way of disposal. It also gives you an idea of what it could be worth.

I've heard that Tesco are actually selling second hand cars now! As it's a new service it may be free or very low priced advertising!!

Just leave the keys in it.

I left my Corolla in Telford for 5 days with the keys in it.....sadly, I still had to get it rescued!

I remember leaving my keys in the car overnight in Ealing, London.
next morning, it was still there, but a tramp was sleeping in it.... :D

I have one that we got new way back when, I only use it to go to the golf club now. It has done a staggering 155k miles and never had a bill bar service and MOT. Peugeots of any other number only dream of lasting so well. Maybe they let a german into the design office that year or something.
