I defy anyone to beat this!!!

Tomorrow myself and 3 pals travel short journey up the road to the Hexham area where over 2 days we play 3 FREE games with our TVGA cards at 3 courses...........we stay overnight near Haydon Bridge and have evening meal bed and breakfast......for £33!!!

I'm still of the belief our Machrihanish deal takes a bit of beating, 2 nights B&B and 3 days of unlimited golf on a championship links for £120, accommodation is pretty good also

is this a 'serious' response?.....My thread is a light hearted approach (as shown in the title ???!!! )......to a group of pals having a cheap night away locally with some free golf games as well.....who would turn that down regardless of the standard of a golf course?

I'm not a golfer who criticizes/puts down golf courses like some do...........I've played 2 of the courses and lets say 1 is a lot better than the other,the 3rd I cant judge yet as never played it.


So is it worth the effort!!!..damn well right it is....beats being at work on a Friday.

Its a Tyne Valley Golf Alliance card mate.....7/8 clubs in the area form an 'alliance' whereby members of these courses get 7 FREE games at all the courses away from your own.......and can go back and play more games at the courses at £8 a time......the 7 free games are worth around £150 at face value..........all part of our membership deal..................so instead of us making 3 seperate visits of around 1.5 hour round trips we are doing 3 of them in 1 go and having an overnight VERY CHEAP stay and a bit of a drink to go with it......

Very good deal that.

The best I've ever had was 1 round of golf at a course in Northumberland, I can't remember the name but it was fairly good, a night in a B&B. Then we had a four night stayin the Hilton Hotel in Dundee with dinner, bed & breakfast. We had 3 rounds of golf at Carnoustie (1 at each course), 2 rounds at Arbroath & then went on for a final round at Silloth on Solway all for £300. We had an awesome week it was sunny & warm everyday.
