At this point I have ScoreSaver 2 installed and think its quite cool.

What I am looking for though is to get the Strokes Gained stat, so my question is which is the best combination of device/software to get that stat?
I believe Game Golf now has that stat available, so that is one option
Also have seen that the Microsoft Band along with the Taylormade software can provide it, but it seems this is full of issues

Are there any other options that I should look at because based on the above 2 it seems the Game Golf is far better than the Microsoft Band option

Thanks,
George

Yes game golf does do strokes gained, but at the moment it only averages your last 10 rounds. Hopefully in the future they will roll it out for individual rounds.

I like game golf, and use it for every round, but if your thinking of buying it for the strokes gained side of it, I think you would be a bit disappointed.

Another option, on WRX there is a strokes gained spread sheet so if you have any kind of measuring device you could do it that way, but it does look quite in depth

I have used the WRX spread sheet and actually like it.
Although it wont be spot on, I feel it will still give me a good indication of where I need to most improve as long I am consistent in my approach of measuring.

I use a basic Skycaddie AIRE GPS, plus laser rangefinder, and I pace off putts. It doesn't seem to affect the pace of play too much, if at all. I jot down the distances and clubs etc as I go.

Game golf have just updated their strokes gained stats, so you can now do individual, group and all rounds versus different handicaps. Where before I said you would be disappointed if you bought GG for the strokes gained, I now think with the new update it is worth it.
