Best starter club set

Just getting in golf and really need to replace my old Slazenger set!

I'm looking to spend about £200 on a set - any pointers?

Agreed. I'd much rather hunt out some decent 2nd hand kit than buy budget.

There's a lot of love on here for Callaway X18, X20, X22 irons. They can be picked up 2nd hand well within your budget.

If you stick to well known names like Ping, Taylormade, Mizuno etc you can't go far wrong :thup:

American golf are selling di7s for £189 I believe.

Forgans are suppose to be good value. The new Dunlop range at sports direct is also pretty decent for £7 a club. Or you could go with the nz9s for £120.

Wilson Staff Di11 would be perfect or Di9, Di7 ( secondhand )

Or a set of MD golf or Benross irons would also be good kit
