Ok, after the thread about Greenjoys. Forget 'em. I don't want smelly sweaty feet this summer! :)

So what's the best shoe out there under £60 at the moment?

It's very subjective, each has their own faves but I think you will find a lot of fans of Footjoy AQl's, I'm one. I've just got some softjoys and only paid £40.00 they were a bargain. One thing I would say is have a trawl on't net and do not pay full price for anything, there are some great bargains around to be had.

Rrp then id imagine aqls are a no brainer.

You will get last years dryjoys level shoe for that money though. I got tour 360 ltd's for 65 notes.

I'd try these

Personally I wouldn't touch adidas as I can never get the right fit. I'm a size 8 in everything and usually need at least a 9.5 in an adidas golf shoe. Even my adidas trainers are an 8 and fit perfectly so I'm not sure why their golf shoes come up so small. I've also had issues breaking them in and others have had problems with splitting. On the other hand others have had issues with FJ too so I guess you pays your money and takes your choice

Very true! I had 3 pairs of dryjoys split after 1 round so got adidas ones that, touch wood, are excellent thus far. Very comfy and waterproof which are the only things i worry about. Other people have had the opposite experience though.

I'd say Adidas Powerbands, or AQL's both available at online golf for under £60 quid. Wouldn't go for mid range Nikes not very comfortable.

AQL are as good as anything for under £60 full price. However if you shop around you can get a bargain on older models. I got a pair of Footjoy Reel Fits for £60 which is half the RRP. Also my Black Dryjoys were only £50 reduced. I also own a pair of Brown AQL'S and they are fine but not as good as the other 2 models I mention.

AQL's offer the best value for money and can be picked up from various online retailers for between £45.00-£60.00 depending on style/colour etc. Great shoes for the money.
The "contour" range from FJ are the next step up, and I found these by doing a search, which just come in on your budget...

I've just bought a pair of Contours and they are supremely comfortable.
I too have tried Adidas (and Nike) in the past and find that ordering a size 9 in either of them leads to pinched toes or blistered heels.
I have never (ever) had a problem with Footjoys. They always fit straight out of the box, allowing me to order from anywhere with confidence.
