Wondering which shoes were recommended for the best balance and stability,as well as being flexible. Ive had traditional footjoys, but felt my pivot was a bit slow.

liked the feel of some topline shoes like Nike and ecco (sp)in direct golf, but obviously not the same as course wear and tear.

Happy to pay whatever as long as they are decent value and will last.

There's always one.

I've got an older pair of footjoy synergy which are great for balance and reasonable for flexibility although that may be due to them being a bit aged. Also have footjoy XPS which are great for balance.[/FONT]

Thanks. Meant to say flexibility for moving quick e.g. pivoting. I thought it might be preferable to have a more stable left shoe and more movement possible in the right toe. Is there any shoe that would do something like this?

XPS work great for me for pivoting, not quite as flat as the Synergy.

not unless custom made or it wouldn't be good for a leftie

Most stable flexible shoe I've found the best is the Nike TW13's/TW14's. Being a Free Run sole, my foot is able to flex and move more freely than most shoes I've owned in the past.

TW13's can now be had for around the £70 mark now. Best shoe IMO!

There used to be and may well still be stuff on mytpi about that sort of thing, they basically recommended shoes on the requirement of your feet (arch type and such).
