Best recovery you've ever had.

last summer when i'd just got my handicap again (13 at the time) i was 6 over after 4, with my usual double at the first . Then birdied 5 and 6 and parred in for 75. I won the comp with 45 points! It was my first ever stableford comp too.

It was the first round in my life where i genuinely didn't know what my score was standing on the 17th tee, i'd completely blanked it out after the start i'd made. Left a birdie putt a mm short, dead centre on the last too :o

Last years club champs I was 4 over after 5 holes and had to give myself some councilling as I was being too defensive. I then played the next 31 holes in 2 over to take the win :p

Similat to jammydodger. Was 6 over after 6 in 36 hole club champs (with four 3-putts), then played the next 30 holes to 3 over. Didnt win he it but at least it ended up with a reasonable score after a horrible start.

Whoaaa. More Jammy exploits. 31 holes, 2 over....that is so good.

Tasty. No wonder you're still not on 13. :D

lol Dave , heres one from last year. Played a 36 hole open at Sheringham and started on a par4 playing off 4 at the time. Stood on the 2nd tee 6 over and wanted to walk straight back to my car and go home :(

Played the same hole in the afternoon and spanked a perfect drive down the middle. Walked off with a 7 :(

I did that two competition Saturdays in a row! Perfect drives at the 1st leaving a simple wedge in. Skulled it through the back both times, into the bundai, eventually hacked out for 7's

Crazy. Remind me never to golf in Norfolk. :(

Here is mine,

Got my first ever hc @ waterstock gc of 14 and in my first comp I was been billed as one to watch! Anyway at the turn I was 14 over with the two chaps playing with me thinking this lad is crap.

Came home in 4 under gross and won the comp never been that low for 9 holes since

Now thats a recovery to be proud of

Nothing so dramatic as others, but I have used most or all of my hc on the front 9 and still made buffer more times than is healthy.
