Afternoon , still not sure about my 6week old clubs can anybody point me in right direction were to sell them i deside.

Do not use Ebay as been ripped off before, and trade in values(AG,Golfbidder) come out at half what i brought them for.

any ideas?

eBay will get you best price as it opens up the biggest market. Not sure how you got ripped off before but the rules have tightened quite a lot recently.

Gumtree can be hit and miss but sometimes you can get lucky. Sold my Callaway X Hot for a £20 loss after having it 6 months- got £70 paid £90.

Plus it's free- would be my 1st port of call but would only ever do cash in hand for transaction

3rd call for ebay- not sure how you get ripped off- you receive payment before parting with the goods. Only sell to people with a min feedback and/or min 99%/100% rating if you get too worried.

eBay. I dont find things that easy to sell on here, so they always wind up on eBay. Put them up with a Buy It Now price and away you go

I agree, I have sold one thing on here. Nothing wrong with ebay.

He's probably saying the 10% fee (plus paypal fee) is a rippoff and I agree- gradually increased over the last 10 years- I used to sell a ton of stuff on ebay but rarely do nowadays as a result

How is it a rip off? The fees are clear, you are getting access to a large market and the ability to take CC payments. I dont have a problem with it.

The only thing about Ebay that is really anything like a ripoff is the fact that the 10% also applies to Postage. Though I can see how that was sort of forced on Ebay by unscrupulous sellers loading the Postage to 'avoid' the commission.

Just make sure that you charge sufficient for Postage so that you are not out of pocket for it!

I know they are clear- maybe it's just me but as I said I sold hundreds of items on ebay over the years (to make money rather than just old items) and they increased the fees gradually so you are paying about 13% total with paypal. maybe I was just used to the older fees.

I think 13% is a huge chunk of margin to use their marketplace. But again just my opinion

you can sell on here or gumtree free but less likelihood of a sale- things just seem to sell well on ebay and you get protection- it's worth it imo and its not like the charges are hidden.

When you get 50% or more higher price, then it's a no-brainer!

But worth putting Golf Gear on here first.

Most people I know who want to sell sets of irons usually start off by sending me a picture of them and asking if I want to try them :D..
(Looks like another set of Irons is heading to Wolfie Towers this weekend.. Cheers Steady Dave ;))..

With regards to eBay, it's the easiest and quickest way to sell, but the fees, coupled with Paypal fees are a touch on the high side.. It's worth it though if you want a quick sale..
