Best place to buy lake balls

Aside from ebay. Where's the best place to buy lake balls from?

I bought some Titleist xt tour balls from a guy on ebay that were stated as pearl but definitely weren't :mad:
 
Local golf course shops and nevada bobs. They are doing 12 prov's for 12 quid or something over here.

Please noone mention the other, other way of getting them on here!

Failing those, why not move to a slightly cheaper equivilent?
 
I agree about not buying lake balls. There is no way of telling how lon gthey have been submerged which will have a detrimental effect of some degree on the ball. There will be no uniformity in performance so it will make judging distances harder. There are so many good deals on new balls that it seems a false economy to me

I wasn't asking if you thought lake balls were any good or not :rolleyes:

I'm after some nxt tour lake balls for my range balls :D and wanted to know if anyone knew of a good place to get them.

I generally practice on the range with the same make of balls i play with out on the course
 
dont worry about buying lake balls mate, if you are a beginner like me then losing so many brand new balls gets very expensive and frustrating... i got 50 'as new' condition top-flite lake balls for under £15 and all seem absolutely fine.

... have a look around amazon, they have some good lakeball deals.
 
OK, good point.

If you use a certain make, why not just "recycle" them from one area (the "ball pocket") of your bag to another, till you have a dozen say.

If I play with a ball, and it looks tired or scuffed, it goes in the bottom of my largest pocket....then again, I don't often lose them!! I end up with 10 or so out of the 12 I bought in a month or so.

I agree with 17 not being beginner b.t.w.

If you are really keen, why not simply buy 12 brand new ones and chip 12 at a time. If it matters to you so much (and I'm not going there :D ) use new ones, better safe than sorry.
As for full irons, hit any old stuff, and save your dozen for 12 shots to one distance, then take your reading from that ignoring the donnays and dunlops.

I have two dozen yellow donnays for this. The 7-8 yard difference with a 7 iron gives me an average. A premium ball might go a bit further, but better long than short.
