Hi, I am a newbie and need some help to find a new location for a golf break I organize annually for 25 people. We go in September for 2 nights and like to play 4 rounds, handicaps range from single figures to true 28 handicappers so not expecting any championship courses. Would ideally like 2 courses and food included. Looking to keep it as cheap as possible so as not too exclude anyone. We have previously been to Bedlow Manor but feel it is time to try somewhere new. Any recommendations? Thanks, Ben.!

another vote for Ashbury. I've just got back from my annual society weekend, the 15th year on the spin we've been going down.

For value for money you can't beat it. If you're expecting top quality courses and accommodation then you'll be disappointed but it is everything you need for a golf weekend. Everything is in one place and the golf is OK. The courses are short but hilly and if the wind blows as it did last weekend you'll be glad the courses aren't longer.

28 of us been going 15 years and already booked for next year, can't say much more than that.

I'd definitely vote for Ashbury. Plenty to do on site in the evening or if some of the less keen golfers don't fancy a game

So you go for the Jewelery making then Homer ;)

Don't be a plonker all your life! If you stay on the Ashbury site, apart from not having hoardes of screaming kids running around in the evenings (they get put ove in the Manor complex) then the evenings are taken up with snooker, darts, indoor bowls (definitely not as easy as it looked) and propping up the bar and swapping golfing tales.

Farthingstone do great deals, the course is pretty good and the food is veyr good - worth looking at if Northampton count as Southern England!
