I vaguely remember there being a post on this recently, but for life of me i can't find it. So thought i'd share mine from today. Not sure I'll top it as was pb on this course as well as winning me the pot.

On the 18th (par 5) tied with my bro, two mates 3 & 4 shots behing. We're all similar level so play scrath as a pose to stableford.

I'd won the front 9 by a shot and bro was better off heading for last so all to play for.

I tee it up, having hit 11/13 fairways and proceed to put it OOB!

Bro playing safe puts driver away and lands 4 iron safely on the fairway. One the other two had played i hit my 2nd(third). Decide in for a penny and all that and manage to cream one out into the middle of the fairway.

Bro decides to take aim with a 3 wood and manages to sally it 100 yards, past me but still out of range of green.

I manage to belt my 3 wood to within 60yards.

Bro hits a seven iron leaving 100 yards and pitches on to the front tier of the green. Flag is some 40ft away at the back.

I get out my trusty gw take aim an lose ball in the sun!!

Make our way to the green with ball nowhere in sight, jokingly walk to hole and there it is smiling up at me!

Bro manages to 3 putt for a 7. Given me the front, back and 18. And i nice tasty £60 to boot!!

Now just need to spend it on something..............

well after buying 4 refreshing beers  you should have about £45 left so you could treat yourself to three of those grip raincoats from the other thread.

Nice play, enjoyed the write up of the hole and way to give yourself even a chance at the hole and match after 3 off the tee

Our 16th, about 440 uphill...
During a medal I played one of the biggest slices you have ever seen, the all was I the first cut on the far side of the 17th that runs back Dow the hill - we're talking a good 70-80 yards from target..
There's a small copse between me and the correct fairway but I loaded up my 5 wood and smacked one right back into the middle of the 16th, leaving me 140 to the flag.
Made the green and sunk the 15 footer for a very straightforward par.......

Par 4 in Open comp.

pull hooked drive into rough

duffed 8 iron 20yds staying in rough

thin/partly shanked 8 iron skittering along the fairway

thinned SW that hit the pin like a rocket and dropped into the hole without touching the green.

Score on scorecard, Par 4

The 4th hole at Dudsbury is a short 336 yard par 4 dog leg right , a fade is the shot , Hooked my tee shot left OB , 3 of the tee pin high and hole the put to get a half and go on to win the match

I have 2 that I can't decide between.

18th hole (Gog Magog old course) playing my introductory round, needed a 4 for a back 9 39, pulled my tee shot left into trees, hit a provisional down the middle, couldn't find first one, hit 5 iron to the green, pitched front left then rolled the length of the green and dropped in for a 4.

or 18th hole (Wandlebury) last week, needed a 4 to break 80 for the first time ever, drove down the left, hit 4 iron to the front edge, lagged up to 2 feet or so then rolled it in for a 79.

Different reasons but will not forget either for a long time

Today on our 3rd I managed to put my drive into a low orbit which came down the wrong side of a line of trees but in standing water. Took the ball back to some drier ground and buggered up my chip through a small gap into some more standing water so took another drop and proceeded to hot a great wedge shot into the green but about 25 foot from the pin with a downhill putt and quite a big break. Hit the putt bang on line and at a great speed. It looked like it was going to just miss on the low side but held up just enough to slip in the side door. Felt great and won me the hole to boot.

Probably more like my flukiest par.

Par 5.

Hit the tee shot OOB.

Third off the tee was pretty decent.

Decided to go for the green with my fourth.

Hit it solid but miles off line and it clattered into a tree 90 yards or so short and left of the green.

Holed the pitch!!

Made several pars in my time having not seen either the fairway or the green. Playing our ninth, a 400 yard par four that always plays into the wind I carved a tee shot way right into a bunker on the 18th hole. Thinned an ambitious recovery into heavy rough short of the ditch crossing the fairway. Hit a fat 7 iron into the front right bunker and splashed out and in for par. I don't get a shot there so only four for two on the card but I felt I deserved an extra point for the effort
