I've read over the last few days and the run up to Christmas the various trials and tribulations forummers have had woth different online sites and so I'd be interested into which online store is the most popular (not necessarily at sales time but across the course of a golfing year) and why. Also, which store will no longer get your business and why.

To start it off my vote goes to www.clubhousegolf.co.uk They did a set of Proquip waterproofs from £189 to £119 for the suit which was great value any and chucked in a TM cap free. I have bought some other stuff (shirts etc) and when they didn't turn up their customer services were brilliant at tracking the parcel and keeping me informed.

As yet I haven't had a poor experience online so there is no-one on my personal blacklist at present.

Online I have only really dealt with onlinegolf.

They were fantastic, I ordered on a wednesday and it came friday. Price was unreal and they gave me 4 updates of the delivery vans location.

Top marks.

AG on the other hand is a touchy subject at the moment.

My vote goes to online golf. Great prices and quick delivery.

Bought a Nike club from them and found out that they put a new deal out a week later offering free balls with Nike purchases. One email later and the free balls were on their way to me irrespective of buying before the offer started.

Also the discount points soon mount up

I've had nothing but great service from the golfshoponline however would not be too keen to place any orders with 118 golf although hear plenty others have had no problems with them. Just goes to show how the good/bad service is spread and must depend on what the company has in stock and what it needs to order in. Communication at the end of the day is vital and can appease the waiting golfer...

Most frequently used for me at the moment are:

1/ thegolfshoponline.co.uk
2/ golfbuyitonline.com

118Golf for me works everytime......

tbh 118Golf are the worst I have experienced, I found the Mizuno exoflex gloves for £7.80 and ordered 4 as I know they retail for over a tenner each, the gloves arrived a day or two later as Retroflex :D I called on the monday and was promised the correct gloves would be sent by the wednesday... thursday I call and find out they are out of stock even though they confirmed they where in when I called about the mistake, anyway two weeks later the correct gloves arrive. Then there is the out of stock issues with them, they advertise stock and let you order when its not in, I called about the pinstripe ogio grom bag because I knew what they where like, though it would let me order online they stated on the phone it was out of stock and not due in until the new year, this was on last monday the last xmas shopping day!!

The same thing happended with golfonline when ordering a Ogio Edge for £99, they called an hour later and said they had sold the bag in the morning but their "system" hadnt updated and offered me a white bag :D (in this country!!!).

Anyway my top 5 are: -

Snainton golf
Golfsupport.co.uk (phoned monday for the grom and arrived 12pm Tuesday in time for xmas)
Online golf
Directgolf
American golf

They are all pretty much the same to be honest and some different domain names actually are the same company, same distribution.

Never had any problems with 118, Click, Online Golf, DGUK, interestingly enough I always found Snainton to be more expensive than the others - but the comments on here seem to be very positive.

Howver you are all forgetting the best online store - EBAY! Will always save you a few sheckles if you buy wisely.
