Best live act?

Smashing Pumpkins, Brixton Academy, 1996.
Rob

Saw the pumpkins in 2007 I think, incredible experience.

I'm lucky enough to get to go to gigs most week with work but there are some which still stand out a mile:

White Stripes - Blackpool Empress Ballroom
Arctic Monkeys - Blackpool Empress Ballroom
Brand New - Manchester Apollo
Radiohead - Blackpool Empress Ballroom
Tellison - The Moustache Bar, London
Test Icicles / Forward Russia - Manchester Academy 2

A toss up between Quo, ZZ Top, Thunder, Lizzy, BOC, but possibly Def Leppard "In the Round" at Sheffield was pretty darn good...
Mind you so were Aerosmith, Blackfoot, Maiden and Motorhead...
Or maybe Rush.......

I'm torn. The Stone Roses at Heaton Park last year was immense and surreal at the same time. And as a Roses fan boy, would probably have to say them.

However, I've seen G'n'R twice in the last couple of years and I don't care what anyone says about Axl Rose, the guy knows how to it. Leg-end.

Think we may have a winner:thup:

Probably Them Crooked Vultures at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh two years ago. It sold out in no time at all, but I bought a ticket on getmein for around £75 and went along on my own. John Paul Jones was awesome, Dave Grohl like-wise and Josh Homme must just be the coolest ginger bloke on the planet! The atmosphere was just electric. You could just sense that you were witnessing something very special.
