Ok been doing some work with Driver, ie set up, ball position etc. Have been able to strike the ball off the tee, but with a low penetrating flight with my pink castle tee shooting forwards, meaning I'm hitting down on the ball. Certainly a no, no for driver.
Analysed things today and realised that I've been coming out of posture on the way down, and standing up straightening spine angle. So today I focused on staying down on the ball and swinging right around my body, keeping the spine angle.
Eureka the ball flew off the club face with a nice powerful rainbow flight with lots of run. I was in places I've never been before, it really was that great. The feel off the club was fantastic, and as for my little pinky castle tee it was lying on the teeing ground where I had pegged it up. Proof that the technique was better and that the ball was hit on the up.
So if you're struggling with Driver or any club remember keep that spine angle and swing around the body.

Bet it doesn't work next time, you should know what golf is like ;)

I had mine a couple of months ago re wrist cock. trouble is it screwed me next few rounds up, coz I was in parts of the course I had never been to.
happy problems and well done.

I'm working on exactly the same problem and have had similar results. I'm really making a conscious effort to stay down on the shot, especially with my driver.

The result? The best knock for some time off our competition tees today - 6 over for 43 points. Left a couple out there, too.

You have a one plane, some people would call it flat, swing. By nature this is on a shallow plane. Any raising of the spine will shallow the plane further so what you're doing is spot on. I have this fault too & have to concentrate very hard on keeping the head still. It will be nice to see your "new" swing next time I run into you at the range. Keep it up!
