We have all done it got rid of a set of irons just to have a change(or had a bad round with them) and regret it.For me Ping I3 blades, blue dot,jz stiff shafts....What a set of clubs they were, now gone:(

the first nike pro combos! played them for 4 years. ened up with two sets of them! would like to stick project x shafts in them at some stage. great bats!

first of my kids to gets to single figures can have the set that got me to that magical mark. please note i have no kids atm or in the pipeline ! lol

Ping Eye 2's.

Awesome bats but I guess you just gotta move with the times!

Ping S59 Tours are another that I loved, just not as iconic!

Mizuno tzoid pro 2 irons. Loved them and only shipped them out when I gave up in 2000. Might actually see if I can get another set with the stiff sensicore shafts.

Cleveland CG1 blades.

They were battered when I got them but they were great clubs, was close to buying another set recently!

After these the Forgan blades that were my grandad's. Made when Forgan were still based in St Andrews (maybe 30-40 years old?), I played with them for a long time and still have them and the persimmon driver and 3 wood that came with them.

Callaway X-14's

One of the best sets of irons ever designed, I believe that Callaway have not managed to produce a better club since.

I won much silverware and a club champs with my Mizuno Astrons in the 90's - I felt I never hit a bad shot with the pitching wedge! Don't regret parting with them, they were well worn.

My Mizuno MP32 irons.

Luckily they are still behind the sofa so could, theoretically, have a knock if the desire was strong enough.

I'm flushing the 63's just now so the 32's can sit behind the sofa for another week

Nice clubs they were. Sold 'em when I quit.
