For me it has to be Justin Rose 2nd shot to the 18th to win the US open Golf Championship , that was a great 4 iron to end 43 years of waiting for another English player to win this championship who many say is the hardest test of one`s game in golf today

Witnessing Richart's face when we lost on the 18th after I refused to take any shots off Merv.

Priceless :D

Watching Scouser chip from just off the green on the first at Moor Allerton. The look on his face was priceless as his ball rolled slowly past the pin. Just managed to reach the top of a slope on the green, then accelerated down the green, then off the green and down the hill towards the stream at the bottom.

Unluckily for me, his ball stopped just before the stream, but he'd gone from 5 yards away from the hole, to 50 yards away...:D

Lefties chip in the playoff at Castle Stewart. A real wow moment.

Mind you his ability around the green was in place throughout the entire weekend. Masterclass.

From me, it would have to be the 4 wood I hit into the par 5, 12th at Wychwood park. Split the bunkers with my driver then flushed my 4 wood, from 219, over the water infront of the green to about 20ft. Nice, easy 2 putt birdie.

Another moment was seeing a playing partner flush a 3 iron to about an inch, on the same day, same course on the 5th hole.

Fragger letting go of an iron, in the rain, and us watching it loop through the air and land in a stream, head buried in the mud, grip pointing skyward like Excalibur..... sheer Golfing pleasure...

a guy in my 4 ball at a society day sunk a chip from 92 yards....made up for him as he was a top bloke and but struggled on the day.

Just being selfish, it has to be the 4 iron into the 18th at West Hill to win the Help for Heroes 2013 forum meet

Watching one of the guys drop an ace on the 18 of our first round in the longest day challenge.
Funniest had to be on Saturday when I hit my first shot off the sodden fairway without any warm up and digging the club head into the ground enough to rip it from my hands moving the ball 3 yards!

Having 2 really genuine good guys return to the golf club and actually playing golf again after both had strokes.

They have been elected as President and Vice President respectively for next 3 yrs.

Watching my mate hit a hole in one on our society weekend away. I played first and hit it straight at the pin but was a club short. As I put my club back in the bag I commented that if I'd have hit one more club I might have holed it. He went up a club and it went in second bounce.

No one shot or hole in particular, but playing the Whitby GC Invitational day with my dad in the summer, loved it.

We picked up 2nd prize. Oh, and I drove the par 4 1st. Kaboom.

Seeing Phil sink the put on 18 at Muirfield. Great to see and the atmosphere was great too.

I'd go with that, I was in the grandstand watching it. The cheer when his approach shot ended up 12 feet away was amazing, but the roar when the putt went in was spine tingling.

It's something I shall never forget for as long as I'm breathing :)

I've got 2:

I played with a guy off +1 in the summer who shot 64. Amazing to watch close up.

And the other was the 4th member of our group who, after 3 of us had striped drives up the 1st at Carnoustie, took a huge divot about 6 inches behind the ball and watched in agony as the ball trundled, in slow motion, into the Barry Burn in front of the tee. The massive crowd of American tourists watching, added to our paroxysms, probably didn't make him feel better

After a 15 yr break from golf with kids growing up I joined same course as my brother (norwood park Southwell Notts) I played my first ever round with him on captains day and ended up winning it with 42 points. I was gob smacked. Felt a right prat standing up making a speech to a room full of strangers. but the look on his face was priceless.

2nd best moment pitching the ball 1/2" to side of par 3 150 yd only to see it rum 15ft past. Chuffed and gutted in 1/2second.

Nice touch that

My best golfing moment was watching my 14 yr old lad hit his driver to 2ft on a par 3. His smile was priceless.

Playing 18 holes at West Hill in the H4H day with adiemel.
He had a nightmare round but his smile never left his face, a salutory lesson for us all.
On that day he was my Golfing God ...................... happy Xmas Adrian .

Slime.

My favourite moment has to be seeing someone overshoot the green with a 7 iron about 200 yds out and smash the hotel window beyond. Big D 88 will verify this
