Saw a thread stating worst thing you've bought - so I'm going to post one for the best thing you've bought!

I have a couple really.

- Alignment Sticks - for 10 quid - they really do get used on a daily basis!
- Practice ball bag - I have a nike bag for my practice balls - so easy to carry and no faffing about.
- 2 Pair of golf shoes - I switch my shoes from one round to the next - it keeps them in good condition!
- I love my new Nike Pro Combo irons as well! But I've loved every set of irons I've ever got (ping G10s, then nike coverts 2.0 now pro combo - as my game has improved)

i love my clubs ,

one of best things I got was a titleist 14 way carry bag off eBay it sits on a trolley nicely aswell so could end up all year bag

however the best might be a set of £45 Summer shoes from Costco

drive to course in them. Play come home

go range in them

even in winter I wear them to the course and just change to my footjoys if it's too muddy out there

Putter 100% - I have had a few days off this week and had a chance to use it. It's the first true traditional style putter I have used and it is awesome! I recommend Never Compromise if you ever see one on ebay or here!

Ping g25 irons- got them and then won 2 comps within a month.

Odyssey 2 ball fang tank putter- only had it 2 months but already seeing an improvement in my putting- hoping it lasts!

Taylormade RBZ stage 2 4 hybrid- absolutely hated the club for about 8 months. Was having a dreadful round so thought why not, haven't looked back since and can hit it a good 200-220 yards. Been in my bag the longest and will never leave.

What a way to begin with new clubs!!!! Love them on the shelf, on the range and on the course!! Nice one!!

I have a nike method putter - love it! I love the grooves on it - its really slim with a good weight to it - so I know off centre hits immediately! I got rid of the grip though and got a thicker one - its pretty darn good! But might go back to the slimmer grip because the thick one annoys me getting it in and out of my bag! keeps catching!

I've been playing golf for just over 2 years now and overall the best Golf purchased I made, was a weeks all inclusive trip to Turkey in September 2015, as a beginner it really helped my game and actually made me catch the bug. I am dying to go on a similar type holiday, fingers crossed I will be able to get one in 2018.

I also managed to get a mint condition G25 Driver for £60 in 2015, the chap that used it before me worked off shore on the Oil Rigs, and decided to buy another driver and wanted rid of this one. It came with head cover and I still use it today. Still in great condition and I reckon I could sell it today for a small profit.

I wrote a reply, got to 4 items and decided that was excessive and so had to start again. Genuinely more good than bad but the biggest difference was a proper set of waterproofs. GG jacket, Proquip trousers. Following a weekend away getting soaked in my cheap pair I can now get caught in a monsoon and know that I will be completely dry and warm underneath. Never let me down in the 7-8yrs I have had them. Staying dry wins the day for me.

Sealskinz socks.

Got to agree with this, there is no such thing as waterproof shoes!

Also love my Titleist pencil bag, just makes it so easy. Light, comfy to carry and just walk straight to my ball. No faffing around with paths around greens etc.

Laser rangefinder was another great purchase.

Yeah its easy to continually type how much you love your gear!
Actually I missed you out in my original post my Motocaddy S3! great in the summer - simple walk and enjoyable - no lugging a bag about!

Mine is the putter I currently use. It is a Wilson TPA XVIII. The same design that Faldo won the Masters with, although his was a TaylorMade - Wilson bought the design from them in the 80's.

I swapped it for a Ping Anser with one of my mates on the 15th green of our club after we had tried each others putters for the round to that point. We decided we preferred each others and never swapped back. This was in the Summer of 1989.

It is the putter I have had the lowest and the best (2 separate occasions) rounds of my life with so I always use it, safe in the knowledge that if I am putting badly, it isn't down to the club.

I have had other putters for varying lengths of time but always go back to this one and it has been in my bag for at least the last three years.

Can't see me changing it.

Worth finding one if you can - beautiful putter design and certainly perfect for my putting style.

Without doubt my current putter, Odyssey Works Versa 2 Ball Fang Lined Putter. My 9 wood is a very close second but just isn't used as much to put it first.
