Best golf club played?

Going to look into Woburn! All our breaks have gone through Golfbreaks so I hope they use them...thanks again

Go to northern France and play Hardelot Les Pins and Belle Dunes, trust me !!!

Another vote for these two, if you're using Golfbreaks, they have some good deals (I'm off to Hardelot in August, and I've played Belle Dune the last two years, a firm favourite of ours).

Woburn is also a good shout, one of my best mates is a member so play it a couple of times a year.

Sunningdale also fabulous - doing 36 holes there week after next in same mates dental society, third year running

I've used Golfbreaks for about 5 years now, always really good value. this years boys trip is Portugal in September, they came up with an excellent offer - £240 for 4 nights B&B, 3 days of unlimited golf, buggies and airport transfer at Amendoeira. Flights were extra, but EZJet et al offer reasonable flights.

well am gonna prefer Scottsdale Golf Club there are plenty of high quality experiences available, depending on exactly what give the approprite 'buzz'. Best summer day's golf for me is still a round on the Red, Lunch and a round on the Blue at The Berkshire! Two lovely courses, justy the right lengths for a day! Sunningdale is a great experience, but actually a bit tiring for the 36 holes. There is lot more happening things.

If you are after a good hotel, great course and some luxury I think that Celtic Manor is a good option, particularly on the 2010 course. Or The Grove, which when I played it was immaculate and again a very nice hotel and facilities.

As mentioned by others, you could stay in a non-golf resort hotel near some top courses and play a few different ones. It's what I'm trying to get my usual golf break crew to look into.
Some areas that interest me are:

Mansfield/Nottingham: Sherwood Forest, Hollinwell, Coxmoor, Lindrick
Leeds: Alwoodley, Moortown, Fulford, Ganton
Bournmouth: Broadstone (played and enjoyed), Parkstone, Ferndown, Remedy Oak
Norfolk: Sheringham, Cromer, Hunstanton, Brancaster
Southport: the English Links coast courses

There should be some good options there.

Yas Links. Played The Earth course the day after, but preferred Yas. New course, but no expense spared and built for the golfers rather than anything commercial.

Good question OP!

have to say that I loved the Old Course, Centurian golf club and Championsgate in Florida!

See that Celtic manor is mentioned a lot and I really thought it was a marmite type course but as of yet not played it myself :)

No need to go far, look at Bournemouth. You have Parkstone, Ferndown, Broadstone, Isle of Purbeck and Remedy Oak right on your doorstep. All have featured in the UK top 100 at some point. Combine that with some great pubs and restaurants in town and you have the makings of a great trip

I didn't rate Remedy Oak at all Gordon.
Bearwood Lakes is much better.

Played Woburn Dukes course on Wednesday...incredible course in top condition with real character.

A guy I played with mentioned a B&B in town that allows you to stay in the winter months for 1 night and play 2 rounds for cheap. Anyone know of it? I never caught the name of it.

Belle Dune is superb as are the Woburn courses. Royal Dornoch is my favourite but if you want a selection of courses, either Southport for Hillside, Birkdale, Southport & Ainsdale, West Lancs or East of Edinburgh for Gullane, North Berwick, Dunbar and many others close by.
